History of the German Winx Club Magazines
The first German Winx Club magazine was published in November 2004 by Panini. However, the publication series was discontinued as early as February 2005, resulting in a total of only four issues being released. The exact reason for the discontinuation is still unknown to me today. However, I suspect that this may have been related to Rainbow changing the publisher of the Italian magazines at that time.

In July 2007, the Winx Club magazine made its comeback under the publisher Blue Ocean, which continues to publish regular issues and special editions to this day (as of 2026). The first issue released by Blue Ocean was labelled as issue 8/2007, which was likely confusing for many readers. This numbering most likely relates to internal publishing structures.

Although Germany is probably one of the countries where Winx Club magazines were published particularly regularly over many years, not all comics were released under Blue Ocean. Additionally, some stories were published in a different order from their original sequence.

In 2024, the first issue of the year was not labelled as issue 1, but instead as issue 8. Since then, the numbering has continued consecutively, making it more difficult for readers to determine the exact year or month of a specific issue.

Subscription
Starting with issue 12/2007, Blue Ocean offered the Winx Club magazine as a subscription for the first time.

I personally began my subscription with issue 11/2008 and, from that point onward, regularly received the magazine a few days before its official release in shops.

On 17 June 2019, I received an email informing me that issue 04/2019 would be the final issue delivered as part of my subscription, as Blue Ocean discontinued the subscription model.
